I met Yoshibonu san at the Mitsukoshi Department Store in Nihonbashi.
The Shibata family still lives with me every day after our project. I was on my way to Sendai up north but he said "Let's get coffee! I need a break."
Here we are in this funny Japanese noodle shop and we both ordered strawberry parfait. Over the sweets, we talked a lot. He shared his dream. He wants to curate and exhibit the bentwood works from all over the world. He was precise in every detail where, when, how and what's missing now. I just know that it will happen. He gave me tears twice today by telling his pure passion and by waiting to greet in San Francisco hat.
